Aitheria began with a simple question:
What if creators actually owned the music they used?
The idea emerged during a conversation at a local 1 Million Cups gathering between a music industry veteran and a technologist exploring the future of creative work. What started as a casual discussion quickly revealed a much larger problem.
Creators were producing remarkable content — innovative, bold, and widely distributed — yet the music behind their work was almost always borrowed. Licensed, leased, or claimed by someone else, it rarely belonged to the creator building the audience and brand.
We believed there was a better way.
Not licensed.
Not temporary.
**Owned.**
So we began building.
We studied the system, challenged long-held assumptions, and assembled a team of creatives, engineers, and strategists to create an infrastructure that works for creators, not around them.
